Transformative artists make themselves in the hallways and studios of John F. Kennedy University's Arts and Consciousness program. Here, I record musings on my life lived out loud as a self-declared transformative artist who teaches this stuff by showing up and being who i've become... I am lucky enough to have a collaborator, Raven Reyes, who shares an enterprise we call THE BLACK HUT. Our antics often inform what gets written here. We teach transformative art and irreverence, personal authority and interpersonal awareness, respect for self, legacy and lineage through a comedy/variety show that seems to come alive whenever we're anywhere together. at the moment, i co-habitate and co-create a live/work space called THE POET TREE HOUSE with neurobiology ninja, Catherine Baumgartner. She, too, informs what happens here in the words and work we do together to create the halfway house and encouraging environment that moves what we've learned in the hallway, out, into the wider jingletown world of our edge of Oakland. our studio is located in FORD STREET STUDIOS where we hostess a variety of story generating events....
